Elvis Hawaiian Party
The 16th August is a strange day for us Elvis fans, a day when we feel inextricably drawn to Memphis to pay our respects and to feel close to our man, and whilst lots of our friends were fortunate enough to be there, it was also important for the ones who couldn't make it to spend time together. Our Branch get- together wasn't in commiseration of Elvis's death but in celebration for the fact that Elvis touched our lives and bequeathed us with a legacy of music as yet unequalled. So a big 'Thank You' to all of you that came to the party that entered into the Hawaiian spirit and shared the kind of friendship that Elvis inspired in his lifetime .

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all enjoyed our 'One Night of Elvis' if the phone calls are anything to go by then I'm guessing you did, with many saying it was like returning to the good old days and asking when the next event will be, so with that in mind I thought I would do a run down of what we have planned for the coming months...
Sat 26 September 2009 - 'Strictly Elvis' at the Seabank Hotel, this is the Saturday of the Porthcawl Elvis Festival and is full day of Elvis activities. Starting at 10.30 am through till 4.00pm we have an Open House where the Memphis & Mississippi Tourist Board will be showing rare non stop footage of Elvis, Graceland, Memphis & Tupelo, there'll be Fan Club stalls, merchandising stalls and members attending who met Elvis or who saw Elvis live and are more than happy to tell you of their experience. In the evening we have a first for Wales and this is our Video/Disco where each track our DJ Adam Grant plays then we will have the corresponding footage on the big screen. Auction items that night will be donated by Graceland, Elvis Presley Enterprises and Sun Studios. Tickets £6.00 each available from myself or Arena on 01473 660800.
Saturday 12 December 2009 - 'Elvis Christmas Special' join the Branch at Tonypandy Athletics Club 7.00pm till Midnight with the great Dave Riley and his magnificent Elvis Christmas Show. Tickets will be £5.00 and available from October onwards
Saturday 20 February 2010 - 'Elvis Presley the Concert' The Branch will be running an executive coach to Birmingham NEC to see the return of the concert, we will be staying at Crowne Plaza overnight and returning home on Sunday 21 February. Currently there are still tickets available for the concert and on the coach, but anyone wishing to join us will need to check hotel availability first. I will be arranging pick up/drop off points closer to the time and will be collecting coach deposits in October and final coach payments in January 2010.
Saturday 17 April 2010 - Elvis in the Cathedral The Branch will be running a weekend trip to the beautiful City of Canterbury where we will be attending an evening Elvis Gospel Show in the wonderful Canterbury Cathedral, we will also have time to see Canterbury at your own leisure. Tickets start at £12.00 to £25.00. If your interested let me know ASAP so that I can arrange transport and look at options for accommodation.
